- Your Needs and Initial Talks
We start the process by having you fill out our quote request form which
gathers information about your company, services, audience, website
goals, etc. We use this information to help us deliver an accurate quote.
- Quotes Proposals and Estimates
Once your information is evaluated we will send you a proposal that consists of a
basic outline of the work we see that needs to be done with all associated costs.
If you agree with the proposal we will then send you a formal proposal requiring a
signature. We require that our terms and agreement form are signed and returned to
us. Upon signing of our proposal a 50% deposit is required to begin the project.
The remaining 50% payment is due upon publishing the site live on your site.
- We Have an Agreement?
Once an agreement has been met we will begin our design process.
- Register Domains
If required, we register your domain name(s) on your behalf and set up a web hosting
account. We use Yahoo Web Hosting services unless you have a preexisting web hosting
company. Visit Yahoo Small Business Services for more information on their hosting plans.
- Detailed Discussions
We are careful to analyze your requirements and confirm these via on-site meetings, email,
and/or telephone as necessary. At this point we’re trying to narrow down exactly what
you’re looking for in terms of design and layout. Your feedback is essential in the Web
design process and is welcomed at any time.
- Content Provision
We will create a password protected section on our site exclusively for you to provide us
detailed information on your company, the products you sell, images and complete text copy
for the website. During the development of your site we will have your site listed under
this same section so you may view your site during development. We may recommend slight
changes in supplied copy in order to assist in search engine ranking. We can provide
royalty-free images if required for the site.
- Site Architecture
Layout and navigation is one of the key parts of your site. Site architecture is established
at this point to insure your visitors do not get lost on your site. Each site is unique; we
use text links, graphic menus and buttons with rollovers to accomplish a custom look to suite
your business. We also research the most effective search engine phrases for your business
and incorporate this into the Meta data for the search engines to index.
- Working With Materials
We take great care in your site’s overall appearance. We will resize photos, provide photo
optimization, provide a color sampling (for business’s who wish to match a corporate color
to their site), product weight and pictures and similar tasks are done during this phase
of the Web design process.
- Home Page Design First
We start building your Web site with your home page first, the main page of the site. After
this part is completed and approved we move on to the secondary pages. The home page is the
most crucial page of the site. It has to provide the visitor with a quick overview of your
business. National studies show the average web surfer spends 5-7 seconds on a web site
before they move to the next site. Within this timeframe your home page must peak their
interest to stay on your site longer.
- Secondary Pages Second
The secondary pages are now worked on until completion. Forms, text based content, web
applications and other elements are added to the site at this time. We create a template
file for the secondary pages to keep a consistency across your site. This template is then
changed page by page until the site is completed.
- Web Site Completion and Debugging
As mentioned in step 6, we will host the web site on a temporary directory on our site. This
site will be password protected so only you have access to the site. You can browse the
website and send us feedback if any other changes are needed and we will start working on the
changes and update the temporary site once completed.
- Your Web Site is Live
Once you approve the website on the temporary directory we will publish the web site on your
own web site. Your site is published for the world to see! You can now start advertising
your site, telling friends, business acquaintances and publish print material with your very
own web site. Final payment is due now.
- Final Payment Web Site Material Handover
Once final payment has been made we will send you a CD with a copy of your entire site on it.
We do keep backup copies of these files for future updates to your site as required by you.
- Search Engine Marketing
Once your site has been published we will start submitting your site to search engines. Please
view our Search Engine Optimization for more information on our process.
